I think I am going with FAR before REG…Anyone who can shed some light on this?

I took REG before FAR and found that knowing REG was no help, if anything it hurt. While trying to learn GAAP rules you need to push tax rules that you just learned out of your head. The only area where REG was slightly helpful in FAR was with deferred tax assets and liabilities, however this was very minimal.

Agreed with gr8dane. I had a hard time with REG because I kept wanting to do things according to GAAP. I think as long as you are aware that you have to shift your brain between IRC and GAAP, then it really doesn't matter which one you take first.Which one are you most weak on? That's the one I'd take first.
