Well, that was what I thought until I took it yesterday…..it was so generic and dare I say ‘easy' that I was somewhat disappointed. The computations were overly simple that it was almost disappointing. I hammered on Wiley computations until my eyelids quit working and then it was short on computations and difficulty.

But the test you get might not be the same. I'm hoping that I passed the danged thing.

On the WC just know you aren't expected to know everything but just need to be able to put together a cohesive memo.

You can easily memorize those formulas and write them all down in 10 minutes. WC as sims is “easy” too…I rank BEC #3, behind FAR and REG

Many people don't consider this test easy. There is a lot of random information and none of the chapters build on eachother like FAR and REG. Also, a lot of people can't memorize (myself included). Some have to actually understand the information. Every test is different for every person. BEC was the hardest for me so far and for a lot of people. Those that say it is ‘easy' probably struggled with a different section. Everyone is different.

The WC for Sims is really the best part. Especially, from what i've read, they don't even grade for content, just form and making sure you stay on topic.

Because it has the least material, which makes it the easiest.

W.C. is easier than the TBS of the other 3, and it's roughly 15% so it won't kill your chances if you mess one up. I also think that formatting, spelling, and grammar counts for a good portion of your W.C. grade. As a previous poster said, less overall material (granted, the topics vary quite a bit), but I found macro to be very easy to understand. Each person has a different “hardest exam,” it just seems that BEC pops up the least on that list.

    Starting all over.

    FAR - 11/27/13
    AUD - 1/4/14

While BEC isn't the hardest in my opinion, it will eat you alive if you don't take it seriously.

BEC is the easiest part. Took it once and passed. Now REG, on the other hand, is a different story….

Writing them down… so we ARE allowed paper & pencil at the exam? I was under the impression that we weren't. I would be so happy to be wrong about that!

@kmwgrace- First of all, you need to start up your exam because if you don't begin within a certain amount of time, your exam will time out and you'll have to pay to take it again. So writing down your formulas on your scrap paper is not a good idea. Secondly, out of the 50+ formulas you need to memorize, you probably will only get tested on 2 of them. So, don't waste precious time writing them down because that 3 hour clock is ticking.

But yes, they give you blank scrap paper, but like I said, don't waste your time writing them down. Just know them so in case you get a question on it, you can write down that formula only and answer the question.

From the 3 parts I've taken, I'd say it was the second easiest exam I've taken so far, with Audit being the easiest (straight memorization). None of the formulas are difficult. The written communication is pretty easy as long as you have some basic writing skills. Almost all of the information you should have seen in your undergrad. With that said the exam should be taken seriously and is extremely broad.
