I am taking FAR on January 7th. Because it will be my first time in a Prometric, and hence my first time taking any of these tests, I really don’t expect to pass. If by some miracle I do pass, I’d planned to do BEC next. But, I am thinking of doing AUD or REG instead. Reason being, there is too much in BEC that I have no fricking clue about. I read the first chapter in Roger’s book and about 90 percent of it was stuff that I had not seen since high school Economics, 20 years ago. I took a few audit courses, and a taxation course. So, the stuff from those is somewhat still in my head. BEC is supposed to be the easiest and as the stats show, it has the highest pass rate and I know a lot of people do that one first but I wanted to get the worst one (FAR) out of the way. If I don’t pass FAR, I might just move on to REG or AUD and come back to it some other time. I’d rather move on to something else rather than wasting 3 months re-studying everything in FAR until I could take it again in the next testing window. Decisions, decisions….. I wouldn’t even care so much about this, but I already paid for all 4 tests. I didn’t know they only give you 9 months to schedule the exams…I wish I’d known that, but it wasn’t mentioned anywhere. Basically I have until next August 17th to do all 4. With a full time job, I don’t know if that’s even possible. If I had until next December to do all 4 it might work. I don’t suppose they give anyone credits or refunds for exams not taken, or postponed (rhetorical question.)
