When do you reduce AP?

When you’re paying bills via check, would you reduce AP upon signing the checks or not until you mail them? Seems like Becker is saying that you wouldn’t reduce until you actually mail the checks, but just wanted to verify.

    Thanks

Reduce AP when the check has been mailed, not when written.

In reality, AP is automatically reduced by the software program when the check is written. However if you're at a cutoff period and holding on to unmailed checks you should have those amounts included in AP.
