Whats the feeling like.. to FAIL an exam?

Haven’t taken/fail any exams yet… but I’m sure I’ma fail AUD next week. (not being negative.. just being real)

I’m just a natural laid back slacker.. been like this my whole life. Not a single **** was given.. type attitude.

I told myself I don’t care if I fail next week and it’ll be a good lesson to get the feel of a CPA exam in general.

Today.. I realize I don’t want to fail but man I got so much to cover and not enough time.

If you’ve failed before… post your feelings.

Well.. I imagine for you, since it doesn't sound like you have really given it your “all” this time, it won't be as bad if you fail. But for me, failing was devastating. Every time I failed it meant that I was going to have to waste another 2 months of my life re-studying for an exam and ignoring my friends and boyfriend, spend 5 hours driving back and forth from Sacramento to take the test, and another month or two waiting for my score to be released. What a nightmare. Oh and telling everyone that I failed.. that hurt.

For me the failing itself wasn't the worst, the odds aren't in your favor to begin with (this out of a total overachiever perfectionist!) but the thought of 6 weeks or so of additional agony/study/stress was brutal. I was emotionally and physically drained at that point and headed back for another beating.

It’s like sitting on the chair in the middle of the room and some stranger slapping you silly nonstop for an hour and calling you names.

Sorry that’s something else. Never mind, wrong board. LOL

Failing is an opportunity to learn. For the CPA exam, if you fail, they send you your scores and also a graph to show you where your weakness and strengths are.

    AUD - Passed:)

When I failed my first section last week, I didn't want to believe it at first and I checked my score a few times. Then, it sunk in and I felt a little down, but not too bad. It's really not the end of the world. You just study even harder the next time and pass. The thing that kinda got to me was my family/friends saying stuff like I'm sorry to hear that.

not the end of the world, but but but thinking about all those time and effort that I spent made me super sad 🙁 and the fact that I have no life for another months or so just depressing, and the fact that I was so closed (failed by 1 point) just made it even worse. I really would rather get a 70 instead of 74. 🙁 don't give me anything around 71-74, I absolutely hate it.

Failing sucks but failing with a 74 is the worst…and then taking a test again and getting another 74 is worse. Just study as hard and you can and make sure you attempt to learn the aspects you know that you are weak on and you will be fine!
