Took REG in Jan, failed with 74, waiting for AUD score. Any suggestions on what to take next? Hoping for no more than two additional testing windows, so either:

    April/May = REG/BEC or FAR/REG

Don’t want to lose too much time before whatever REG info is in my head evaporates.

    R - 74;88
    A - 84
    B - 74;89
    F - no study = 67; May 15 = 87 & done

I think that taking BEC/FAR would be a better choice because studying for both REG and FAR might confuse you since there are some concepts in both sections that are accounted differently. BEC and FAR have a lot of similarities like financial ratios, investment, etc. and BEC also is a lot less material than both REG and FAR.

I failed REG at the end of November, and retook it in January thinking I didn't want to lose whatever info I had in my head. I failed again in January because I didn't have a fresh start to learning the material. If I could redo the whole process again, I would have taken FAR, then gone back to studying REG. FAR will give you a good basis of financial accounting, and then when studying for REG I think you'll better understand the tax accounting concepts and reasonings as to why they are accounted for differently.

If you really want to retake REG ASAP since you only failed by one by one point, I would go with BEC/REG.

    BEC 8/31/11 80
    AUD 10/14/11 89
    REG 11/30/11 63, 1/14/12 72
    FAR 2/29/12

After I took REG, I'll take PMP 🙂

Thans SFSMILE. That's helpful. I think I'll redo REG and then BEC.

I'm having the same issue, with FAR. My NTS for REG and BEC expire 8/29. One part of me wants to retake FAR asap and see if I can get it out of the way, but I don't want to be crunched on time for my first shot at the other two. Plus I am soooo not looking forward to opening the FAR book again.
