I am having a very hard time memorizing all the accounts for the JE’s in pension, gov’t, and NFP and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to nail them down?

Re-write them every time you do a practice question even if the practice question doesn't ask you to make a JE.

I went to accountingprinciples.com, printed out every journal entry example, and studied each until I was comfortable.

FAR- 5/11/15 76!!

Understand them. If you merely memorize, you'll forget it all. Comprehend the underlying reason why the JE is the way it is. I've had some issues with some JE's while preparing for FAR and I posted my concerns here and got explanations by really smart people. So, if you don't get it, ask about it, or post it here. DO NOT MEMORIZE IT.

Do not memorize, try to make it every time you have a multiple choice or SIM. Get a piece of paper and write it down. Just like when you are writing a check and updating your account balance, make it a habit. It will flow. Just like @golfball and another85 are saying. In regard GVT, NFP is another ballpark, it take time to learned these subjects, do not rush, and do not even try to take FAR test without mastering those 2 areas. Good luck studying
