I am getting so frustrated with this process. My latest scores are a 73 in REG and a 73 in FAR. 2 points! How the hell do I get two more points on both exams? I’ve been hovering around in the 70 range for both of them and it’s so frustrating how close I am. I’ve taken both of them three times each. I take FAR on Monday again.

For those of you who got really close, were there any small changes you made that you felt got you those 2 extra points?

I have Becker, Ninja Notes and CPAExcel for reference.

FAR: 72, 68, 73, 78 (passed)
REG: 61, 70, 73, 63, 78 (passed)
AUD: 65, 84 (passed)
BEC: 89 (passed)

NASBA gave Doby a passing score, Doby is freeee!!

I've never got as close as you. But I suggest Wiley and NINJA Flashcards. I'm using the flashcards for Reg and it is really helping. I dont know Becker, as I use Roger, but maybe adding Wiley and NINJA Flascards will get you over the hump. Good luck…

I start over and study as if I've never seen the information before in my life. Then I just get mad and that seems to do the trick. Right now, I'm about a furious as I've ever been!

I had a similar experience and always only failed by a couple of points. I also did what Kricket said. I completely started over, giving myself about 4-6 weeks, around 15-20 hours a week and then about 30 hours a week the last two weeks. I switched materials though. So I'm not sure if the repetition helped me or the change in materials. I also started using supplemental stuff like Ninja notes and audio (only FAR for the audio), and cpareviewforfree.com.

I don't know if it helps, but I really like Phil Yaeger for REG. I did exactly what he said in the videos, which involved continuously redoing MCQ's from the Wiley book. It seemed like overkill and I started memorizing them, but I was also memorizing the concepts.

My inital REG score was studying using only the Gleim book and their test bank. I jumped 9 points switching to Yaeger.

FAR- 50(didn't study), 76 (<--How the heck did that happen?)
AUD- 71, 71, 79!!!!!
