What is the average amount of time needed to review FAR?

How long did you or are you going to spend on reviewing FAR?

I will have 14 days to review FAR. With that amount of time, I need to go over all the questions I have done and do all Becker optional practice problems, and hopefully do one or two full practice tests. Is that enough of time for review??

Classic question… All depends on how fast you go through the MCQs and how many hours you have to study?

I have 2 weeks left for AUD review but I work 9 hr days and find it really hard to study after work so essentially I have about 7 full days to study… Now to find enough strength and motivation to put in 6-8 hrs of study on those days….

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

Got to be honest, 14 days isn't going to be enough.

Since that's the amount of time you have, the answer to your question is:

If you are awake, and you aren't working, you should be studying.

Literally all day, every day; for 14 days.

It still might not be enough.

In FAR, there is so much information to soak in. Going through something like bonds, or DTA, or governmental reporting for 20 minutes and moving on isn't enough.

    FAR - 83
    AUD - 73 92
    BEC - 83
    REG - 88

Hiya, I was going to ask the same question. I have my FAR set for Nov 30th and my Plan is to be done with all the lectures, note taking and doing the wiley book questions by Nov 15th/16th. That leaves me two weeks of just doing practice MCQ's and SIM's. Those two weeks I are my “reviewing” weeks.

So your saying that those two weeks are not enough to review?

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

    I misread the question.

‘Reviewing' FAR for two weeks is fine.

Studying for 14 days in TOTAL for FAR, not fine 🙂

I agree with the other comments. But you also have to believe in yourself.

And set yourself a target / targets – something like ‘review one topic a day', then ‘review 2 topics per day' …maybe take a practice test and a quick review.

With a bit a both you shall pass.

    Reg 82; FAR 75; AUD 91; BEC 11/9/13; result due - 11/22/13
