So I am in a serious dilemma. I took FAR and AUD last quarter and failed both – 72 and 73 respectively. I felt like i knew everything and studied all of it. I felt like i did the best I could do on both exams and now I don’t know how to jump back in and study. Where do I even begin? What do you guys do? Should i do a practice exam and see where my weak areas are?

You came very close. Take whichever one you took last next.

Repeat your study process and make sure you're doing all of the practice sims that your review program has. Try and have a well-organized review starting 1.5-2 weeks before your exam.

you should have already done practice exams before your test (especially if you have becker). Also you your score report from NASBA to help adjust your study schedule, and allocate more time to certain areas, while still getting to all topics.

Massive amounts of MCQs. Identify weak areas through trial and error, work on weak areas.
    More MCQs. Rinse and repeat.
A practice exam will only give you 66ish MCQs to try to baseline your weak areas, and you might get lucky on some, so best to broaden your approach.

I was exactly where you are in December of last year (slightly worse off with a 69 on FAR)….I jumped into Ninja MCQ to identify all the weak areas-and believe me-they will all come glaring at you once you get through that test bank. I then went through everything to re-write my notes, make new ones, consolidate my flashcards and work on the MCQ over and over again, switching between Ninja and Becker. I then used the AICPA Blueprint to study the SIMS. I would say if by the end of that re-study period, you can't explain in plain English to a perfect stranger a particular term or a transaction with journal entries without referring to your notes, you don't know the material well enough:) That was my criteria anyway…I passed FAR with an 81 on my re-take…Good luck!
