What do you do the night before an exam?

I take FAR this Wednesday (the 25th) and am just wondering what you all do the night before the exam. I feel like if I don’t study, I’ll just feel anxious/guilty about not studying, but the flip side is: is frantically reading through stuff really going to make a difference? I feel decently prepared for this exam (got 90% and 85% on Becker’s two practice tests) and like if I don’t pass it with this much preparation (180+ hours) I should just give up lol.

So what say you, should I watch Muppet Treasure Island or read about governmental accounting?

I'm not close to the exam yet but usually on the day before the exam I just flip through the material one last time and then enjoy the day/night. I always feel anxious if I force myself to study at the last minute cause it just shows that I haven't been prepared at all.

I usually read the night before my exam. Go over the last few topics that I'm struggling with, take few practice tests, read notecards, my notes, etc…

However, I do go to bed early and get full 8-9hrs of sleep. Then get to the test center 2-3hrs early, sit in the car, eat, and go over few more weak areas.

Good Luck, seems like you are in a good shape:!)

If you have the Ninja Notes, you should read those the day before and the day of the exam. I also do MCQ on my weaker areas the night before just to keep the rules fresh. I usually schedule my exams at 8am but this time I have it at 1pm on Saturday. Although I would not classify myself as a smoker, I do have one cig before going into the test center to calm my nerves and stabilize my breathing. Not that I recommend smoking but it is like a bride on her wedding day, that one bad habit makes things more manageable.

I usually have about three panic attacks, get nauseous, get a headache, and walk around the house bumping into things clumsily. ….Oh, wait…you want advice.

Do whatever you did the night before your practice tests! It seems like you have a good grasp on the material!

I usually review the areas I'm weak at/the areas that are more factual than computative after taking a sleeping pill (make sure you get a good nights sleep)

I look at it this way – You've spent the last several weeks preparing your mind. Now in the last night, prepare your body. That means get some good fiber into your body (no late night snacks, though), get a good night's sleep, minimize morning stress by waking up early, try to take care of that fiber business you began last night, and get to the testing center early.

If you really feel a need to study some more, I recommend a light refresher (Ninja notes are good for that). I wouldn't do any big MCQ regimens, or late night cramming. You can do half the notes the night before, and the other half in the parking lot outside prometric.

For those that are unprepared, the last night is a crucial (but usually futile) cramming game. But if you've prepared well in the weeks prior (which it sounds like you probably have), you successfully remove the stress (and sometimes counter-productivity) of that. Rely on what you've done over the last few weeks, and use the last hours to get your body ready.

Oh and this doesn't apply to many probably, but if you're the praying type, do some of that, too!

    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!

Thanks very much for your advice everyone. I felt this prepared before REG too but walked out with my tail between my legs (will get my score back when my final transcript is in in a couple of weeks here, stupid Illinois), so it's hard to know if what I did worked. The plan as of now after reading all your advice is flash cards between classes, read over F8 and F9 one more time (Becker), eat a big dinner with a lot of fiber (just for you tbstew), watch some Netflix, then hit the sack early.
