I am taking FAR on 8/31 (NTS expires 9/14). This is a LOT of info to cover in a relatively short time, especially since it has been a long time since I have worked with this material.

I plan to follow the NINJA study plan. I have started watching my videos, but only doing the proficiency questions in CPAExcel, but not the MCQs.

I will (eventually) get the Wiley Test Bank and NINJA notes. I already have the FAR NINJA flashcards.

What’s the main focus? Any area that is much harder than the others?

I would make sure you understand government and NFP accounting, the difference between the funds and what they are used for, and don't ignore IFRS!

Personally, I don't think you can get away with not knowing: Bonds, Leases, NFP, Govt, Equity/Earnings Per Share, Inventory, & IFRS. Those areas need to be hit hard. It seems like a lot, but I don't see how FAR is passable without owning those areas.
