I have my exam tomorrow and am “studied out”. I just want to do nothing tonight, but that sounds dumb giving up study time like that so close to the exam. I will probably end up listening to ninja notes at work and reviewing some stuff tonight at home….so what did you do? Advice?

    AUD - 50, 68, 79 I'm DONE!

When I get to that wall I review flash cards and notes very lightly.

For some reason, I can never sleep the night before my exam. I will often try to study for a bit, realize I'm too anxious, lay in bed for a few hours, wake up, try and study some more, once again realize that I am too anxious, and then drink tons and tons of caffeine in anticipation of the exam. It's a strategy that's worked for me three times so far!

    BEC - 90 PASSED
    FAR - 84 PASSED
    AUD - 93 PASSED
    REG - 84 PASSED

    I DID IT!!!!

The day before each exam I always tried to go over more trivial topics (e.g. IFRS for FAR, Independence rules for AUD) so that I wouldn't freak out. I didn't like the idea of doing nothing, but I didn't want to do a lot of MCQ's to overwhelm myself. So I would look over my Ninja notes or I'd look over the things I highlighted in Becker.

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

I normally would just do some reviewing of notes and stuff. I wouldn't study pass 8pm and then watched a little TV to relax.

I took a break just like you described right before Audit. I didn't study any the day before. FAR was more situational… I had not had a chance to really study well the prior three days so when I finally got home I hit the MCQs until 10:00 PM (non-stop) and then lay in bed trying to meditate (which finally worked) until I fell asleep.

    AUD - 75 - 07/06/2012
    FAR - 72, 74, 82 - 05/30/2013
    BEC - 84 - 01/16/2013
    REG - 60ish, 84 - 08/16/2013

    CISA - Passed

I just usually do Final Exam #2, and go over Final Exam #1 results from the day before.. and if I have time, flashcards that Becker has provided. I stopped making flashcards half way into REG when I realized I would never review them.. and I don't take notes either.

REG: PASS || BEC: PASS || AUD: PASS || F: SCORE PENDING..

Yes, I studied for 16 hours too and almost bombed BEC because of it (well who knows, maybe I did) because I was so tired and worn out the next day! If I had to do it again, I would just read through my notes and/or flashcards, get a good night's rest, and pray for a clear mind, a good memory, and a doable test for the next day. Will be praying for you, mabaumann!!!

The morning before I get up early and study like normal. The night before I take a break and relax. Last week I got to watch some football and my wife helped me relax before taking AUD. It worked for FAR and I have my fingers crossed I'm 2/2.

I usually taper off studying a few days before the exam. This is a basic athletic approach leading up to big events, with the thinking you are better off being rested, recovered and ready. I think the scope of material to be covered is too enormous to make up any ground hours before the exam, you should have stuffed that into your brain weeks ago.
