Just took my first FAR practice test. Bombed it.

    Testlet 1: 53

    Testlet 2: 50

    Testlet 3: 57

I did OK on simulation, I’m not sure to figure out my overall score.

Exam is next Saturday the 27th.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THIS??!?!? πŸ™

I would start by changing your pants….

As for your scores…they're not great, but they're not terrible. I think I got in the 70's on both the FAR Becker Practice Exams and I cleared with an 86. I've seen people on this site hitting 50's on those and still pass with an 80, so it's really not an accurate harbinger of your future performance. Some people say it's harder than the actual exam…I personally disagree, I think that it's pretty representative of what you'll see when you step into Prometric next week. I would use the practice exam to figure out what areas you're weak in and use your remaining time to hit those areas hard. My guess is that you will probably be fine. Don't let a practice test tell you whether or not you're prepared…only YOU know if you're prepared. Do you know the stuff inside and out? Could you do a simulation fill-in-the-blank on any topic within the CSO for FAR? If the answer to those questions is yes, then I think you'll probably be fine, but only you know how prepared you are.

It's not too bad, don't get demotivated. The actual exam will be a bit easier than the questions on Becker. The MC section will be easier than Becker, but the Sims will be harder and take a lot longer than Becker questions. Make sure to go through all the ones you got wrong, focus on what you don't already know, and get those nailed down. Also make sure you focus on all the big topics!

I wouldn't do practice exams…instead…pick your weakest area and start pounding MCQs til you score 70% ish and move on to next weakest…work them in Study Mode

Becker has 2 practice exams. I am going to take the second one this afternoon for the purpose of having on idea on the timing and pace that I need to work at.

Jeff- I completely agree. Last week I just did a bunch of progress tests and I think it gave me false confidence. After taking the practice exam, I saw that I needed to work on pension and leases/bonds so I went through did some homework problems from that section last night. I am not going to take any more progress tests this week, I plan to go through the homework problems within the chapters I need the most practice in.

I wouldn't worry, I scored in the 50's on both FAR review exams and got an 85 first try on the test. Those review exams are impossible, just keep hitting the MCQ and you'll be fine
