Here is the question for the day….. I took FAR (the first of my tests) on 2/12; I'm taking REG on 4/1…should I check my FAR score before I take REG or should I wait until afterthe exam???? What would you do??

    REG - Passed
    FAR - Passed
    BEC - Passed
    AUD - 2-25-12 PASSED - DONE !!!!!!!! WOOHOO

I'd check before you take REG. If you passed FAR, then you'll be more motivated to continue studying hard to pass REG. If you didn't pass REG, it will still motivate you to work even harder to get FAR out of the way.

One lady in my Becker classes was not looking at any of her scores until she got them all. How anyone could sit on 3 scores even after taking the 4th test I'll never know.

I wouldn't open a score the day of or day before an exam. If I got it a week or so before that would be fine.

Jeff, do you think the March releases will get pushed back a couple of days to account for them letting testing continue into March due to the weather? On another note, if they don't end up delayed they would lose some of the “we need a dead month to score stuff” line.

Just wondering if there is a chance they will extend cut off for the first wave due to the extension into March? If not should we expect to wait longer then normal in March? I took REG on Feb 9th which is my last part. If I didn't pass I need to get in ASAP in April………… This process can be frustrating!

Jeff, here is my dilemma, I passed aud. and reg and my 18 months runs out on April 3. I sat for BEC 1/09/10 and FAR 1/29/10, in hopes to receive my scores back in time (grade release wave 1) to register again, for one last sitting for both unpassed sections (if necessary). It appears that if i had a new sim. question I might be pushed into wave 2 score release. Now i understand that wave 2 score release may be pushed back until after they allow the snow storm people an extra week in march to test. Whom can I talk with to ensure that I get one last sitting for any unpassed sections, as i would have never taken 2 sections so close (jan.) had i known that it was possible that my scores wouldn't be released until mid to late March, not giving me enough time to register for the April 3 deadline. I appreciate any help with my issue, a name, phone #, who ultimately calls the shots with regard to my situation? Please help!

Mattm – First lets hope that you have passed both so it will not be a issue. Having said this, I think the issues is with FAR. Here is what I think. You are 99.9% sure you should get your BEC score in wave 1. So, if you fail BEC you will know and have time to study and register and reschedule exam. Lets hope that you get your FAR in wave 1 and do not have to worry about the time crunch. If I did not get my score in wave 1, I would go ahead and study FAR also and as soon as the score comes out, if I failed I would register for my NTS immediately, call NASBA to explain the situation to hopefully expedite ( I have always received my NTS within 2-3 days of my online registration) and soon as I get my NTS, schedule my exam at any prometric I could find.

One thing you might look into with your state board is when does your credit for the exams actually expired. I am from Indiana and no matter what day you take the exam, your credit always expires on the last day of the 18th month and not on the actual day. This is probably a state rule so I would check. It can not hurt. Good Luck, Lets hope you passed both and all this worry is for not.

Lee, Thanks for the info, I will for sure call in regards to my NTS. I'm in california, and we have to re-apply ($50) each time we sit for the exam. I already have that taken care of, but of course I can't register and pay my fees for unpassed sections until i get my advisory scores. Also the state (california) post the exact date (april 3) that your clock strikes midnight. I have continued studying both BEC and FAR with only a 2 day break from my Jan. sitting, not wasting any time, besides it tax season. Lets see what else we can pill onto my problem. I just think its B.S that my last sitting gets taken away from me because it snowed in some other state. I hope its a non issue, but i'm expecting it to be. Thanks for your help.

NASBA just put on Twitter that “March dates (Prometric) for #CPAExam (due to weather). This should not impact the release of wave 2 scores”.

I'm still waiting for Wave 1!!!
