Watching lectures first – question

    Hello,

I am on my last section – FAR, which I am re-taking. I notice that Jeff recommends watching all videos first. If we do this, won’t it be hard to remember key points from the F1-F3 videos (for example)? Is the idea to watch all lectures, then using our notes/the book notes to answer the MCQ? I didn’t see that explicitly mentioned in the NINJA Notes. Probably a dumb question, but just curious. Also, is it okay to cram the lectures in order to concentrate more time on MCQ? I’m retaking at the end of July.

    Just need some clarification. Thanks.

Well, to offer a short answer to your question – do what works for you.

Now the long answer – Jeff's NINJA methodology is not an exact science. It works for many people, including myself, but with some tweaks I am sure. I think what he is getting at is watch the lectures to get a sense of all the material and to get them out of the way. For a lot of people, just hearing the information is far from enough. Your time is better spent writing and rewriting notes and practicing lots and lots of MCQ. Your question is a valid one, but – consider the alternative. Watch the lectures and do the questions for each section as you go. Don't you think you are just as likely to forget key terms from the first few sections you study? Plus, when you do the multiple choice with the lectures fresh in your mind, you may not actually know/comprehend the info as well as you think you do…which you find out on exam day.

Again I stress, everyone is different – do what works for you. GOOD LUCK!! You CAN do it!

    I am finally DONE!
