Wasting time, spinning wheels.

I am STILL in F5 review when I should be well into my review of F6. I would say my overall grasp on F5 is probably in the low-mid 70% range based just on HW scores. My level of fury is probably near the max.

Would you recommend just doing what I can do and then continuing to push through my review? At this point I’m just wasting time getting pissed and nothing good is going to come from it. I have a feeling that where I am with F5 is just where I’m going to be.

Really starting to wish I had just stuck to an easy major like management…

    FAR 07/27/11 - 87
    AUD 10/01/11 - 85
    BEC 11/15/11 - 87
    REG 01/03/12 - 92

Just move on from F5 for now, and come back to it later. Take a lunch break, and then start working on F6. Don't waste your time spinning your wheels.

I definitely had some deficiencies during my first time through the materials. Nonmonetary exchanges and pensions kicked my butt the first go around. Just listen to the lectures and go through the multiple choice questions then move on. Give your brain time to digest the information. Getting frustrated will only set you back, so definitely try to keep calm. I really started picking up the tougher concepts the second time that I went through the material. This was weeks after my first time through. Just keep moving forward to make sure you cover all of the material. Once you go through your review and start to read/watch lectures/do more questions I think it just starts to click. Good luck!

Wait, your test is in 4 days? Have you gone through chapters 6-9 yet at all? If not, I would definitely move on from F5 and pick up the speed. Also, it seems like there is a big gap in your test schedule between FAR and AUD. Any particular reason? AUD will not take all that long to study. There is not a lot of material and it is a lot more straight forward than FAR.

F5 is a beast! I agree with Minimorty, move on to pensions (F6) for now. Pensions aren't too too bad (for me at least) compared to bonds and that sort of thing in F5. Maybe it will help build your confidence too. Also, just a suggestion, try to work on F6&F7 tonight, review your notes for F5 before you go to bed. Then tomorrow with a fresh brain try to tackle F5 again along with F8&F9 (which make up 25% of the test but are really not too difficult)

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Thanks everyone. @Minimorty I have covered all of the material once. This is my final review that I'm going through. I have moved on from F5 and probably will have to spend the rest of today and tonight on F6, tomorrow on F7, and Monday on F8 & F9.

When I initially scheduled my AUD exam, I did it via phone and I had FAR scheduled for mid-August. Thinking that was way too much time, I bumped FAR up significantly earlier. I also have a vacation planned for the first week of August and I don't want this hellish beast of an exam to ruin my vacation. I plan on rescheduling AUD for an earlier date, but last time I checked it was too far out in advance to change it on the website. I'm definitely going to move it up, though–the sooner I can get this all over with the happier I will be (and let's not talk about how fat I am getting from this).

Yeah, weight gain sucks. I gained 10 lbs in Feb. from sitting on my @ss all the time and not working out. As of today, I've lost 2 of the 10, but odds are I'll gain more through the end of August. I'll deal with it come September.
