Was I taking AUDIT or FAR

    Not to bash the CPA exam to much, but honestly the calculations I had to do for my simulations on audit today reminded me more of FAR. I am not going to get into specifics, but when you see questions that relate more to the knowledge of advanced accounting topics that you would expect to see on FAR for your simulations you scratch your head a little.

    If I didn’t study FAR first I would have definitely failed my simulations. Now some people will say that it most likely will be tossed out, but I had 2 research questions as well.

    There's research for AUD and REG also, but not for BEC.

    I think your post reinforces the idea that I should take Audit next after I pass FAR.

    This seems to be the common theme. I, along with many others on this site, had a pretty FAR-ish SIM experience on AUD.

    @Erin

    100% agree with you. It wasn't even simple FAR like revenue, but more in depth advanced topics which was kind of crazy. Maybe, the AICPA is testing the waters at bit, but some of those topics shouldn't be on audit at all!
