Hey guys,
I am taking FAR tomorrow and have a quick question on the simulations. I took a Becker practice test today and one of the simulations asked me to provide the Gross Profit % for an installment sale. The answer space was a spreadsheet like box, so in the box I correctly typed “=200,000/800,000” and hit enter. The box translated this to 25%.
When I reviewed my exam, I noticed that although my answer still showed as 25% (which is what Becker says is the correct answer), it is highlighted yellow as being incorrect.
I’m just wondering if this is likely a problem with the Becker software or if I should expect the same thing on the actual exam. It seems ridiculous that the software allows you to type in a formula, it calculates the formula, and then grades your response as incorrect even though it matches the solution. What do you guys think?
