Is it a good idea to try to use it if I’m stuck on a sim? If so, any tips?

There is an authoritative literature tab at the top of all of the sims now. I highly recommend you use it if you are stuck or to check your answer if you have time.

Gotta agree with Kricket (like usual!). SIMs are 40% of your score, and they're giving you access to the authoritative literature… it's almost like an open book test.

I say ALMOST because we all know that time is usually running short for most people when they get to the SIMs, so it's not like you have all day. But if you manage your time well, there's no reason why you shouldn't use the literature, if the need arises.

It's good motivation to get through the MCQs as quickly as prudently possible. It's also good motivation to learn to navigate the literature well beforehand.

I should say, obviously, that you shouldn't DEPEND on having the literature available to you… make sure you're prepared as if it wasn't. But in the event that you have extra time and could use a little help (and can find the appropriate section quickly), go for it.

Like others said, definitely use it if you have time! Take advantage of the “open book” section of the test haha.
