Took REG on 4/2

So I took REG on 4/2 and walked out of it in a bad mood. The first testlet was pretty fair. The second one got harder. I must have not done well on the second testlet because the third one was a lot easier. So that kind of shattered my confidence a little bit. The sims were pretty tough, too. I put down some numbers that I thought sounded right, but who really knows. Both of my communication questions were a little ridiculous. So I had some post-test downers when I walked out of there. To top it all of, according to the projected score releases, I will not find out my score until near the end of May. I just pray I did well enough to get that 75.

Don't worry about it. I came out of two of my four exams thinking that I bombed them and those were the two that I got my highest scores on. The two that I though I did well on, I passed but not with the score that I thought I should have received. Forget about it for now and study for your next one. I know it's harder said than done, but once you get into your other materials, it will just give you more motivation to study even harder for the next exam.

True dat. Forget about it for now.I thought I messed up my FAR exams ,I had no confidence on any of my answers and had skipped one tab on the simulation entirely ..but still scored 82 .You should be fine.

    avs193,

I can completely relate. I took REG on 4/3 and felt completely prepared for it before I took it. I had done really well on my practice exams (mid to low 90s) and wasn't too worried about the test. My MCs were hard, but I felt that I did well on each of the testlets. My simulations were ridiculously hard. I basically just guessed on at two of the tabs for each simulation. My written portions and research questions were a bit easier.

I recall feeling this same way after taking FAR. I left the test so discouraged. In my opinion, the MCs provide the majority of the points for the exam (even though most study materials say they account for 70%, I think they might be worth even more). The only reason I say this is because I've felt really poorly about my simulations yet still have strong passing scores.

The wait is definitely horrible. This is my last exam and I really don't want to have to relearn all the material after taking nearly two months off of studying (if I fail). There's nothing we can do now. Just wait and be patient.

Yeah I thought I prepared really well for this exam. I did all of the homework three times, read through the book thoroughly at least four times, did all the practice sims, and read through the note cards three times. I found one of the answers to my communications questions in the BEC book! And a lot of multiple choice questions in testlet #2 I narrowed down to two choices and just picked one. Both of my communication responses were pretty bogus. Tried to write something that sounded convincing.

I felt the exact same way after I took my reg in Feb. The first testlet was easy but the next one was hard and I couldn't tell what was the third testlet. During the sims, I knew what it was asking but wished I had studied more for that topic cause I don't remember much. At one point I knew I wouldn't pass cause the questions were so different than what I was expecting so I just selected the best possible guess for most of the questions. Left the test center knowing I got somewhere in the 40-60's. Somehow got 86 and better than avg in most areas. So don't worry too much for now and just continue studying.

sounds like you and i had the exact same experience, avs. all i'm gonna do is start getting ready for BEC now. as far as REG is concerned i'm just gonna expect the worst and hope for the best…nothing more i can do about it at this point. although this site is helpful when it comes to seeing that i'm definitely not the only one who felt like this after the test. here's to everyone getting a 75 or higher!

    AUD 79
    REG 77
    BEC 75
    FAR 77

    FINISHED!!!
