Well, where do I start… I took my first part of the CPA exam, FAR. I do not know how to feel about it. I feel like I did okay on the multiple choice testlets but not as well on the Simulations. Actually, part of me wants to feel like I did okay on the Sims, but I also feel like I didn’t. After reviewing for the test and taking practice testlets, I feel like I know when I do okay and vise versa. I felt confident that I got a lot of questions right, but also answered some with a narrowed down educated guess. I have heard and seen stories of candidates who felt like they did not pass after the left the test center, but actually are surprised to see that they passed. And with scores in the mid to high “B” range. Hopefully I get the same surprise. Fingers crossed. Next one is AUD. Hopefully it’s not as bad.

FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
REG-12/6/12 PASSED

Hope you passed!! Without disclosing too much, any particular section to focus on?

AUD is nearly not as bad as FAR, Good Luck!

I used Becker and it prepared me well. Unfortunately, the 2 chapters I focussed on least showed up in multiple choice test lets more than I woulda liked. I guess that's just the way it is sometimes. Just glad to be done with it for now. Hoping I passed, but plenty of doubt lingering.

I see you took FAR today also, @mgoloubenko. What is your take on it?

I just took FAR today as well. I did not think the MC got harder as I went along even though I thought I did well on the first pamphlet.

mgoloubenko, it's a known fact that gov/non-profit is heavily tested. I would know those AJE's very well.

nmsims, tell mgoloubenko, did it feel like gov/non-profit was one in three question?
