I have been studying for FAR since like the end of May. My test is tomorrow and I do not want to not study today but I don’t know if that is wise. I have been taking the progress test(not final) in Becker and my last three scores were 72 79 73. With the 73 my most recent. My last two with wiley is 82 and 85 with 85 being my most recent. Am I prepared???? According to wiley I am but under becker not so much!!! I am just tired but I don’t want to slack this last day and regret it in September.

BTW on becker’s final I got like a 65 on the first one and a 62 on the second one. 🙁

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

You sound prepared. Don't let Becker's simulated exam destroy your confidence, they will be more difficult than what you see on the actual exam. Maybe just reread your notes today, or maybe do mini 10-20MCQ quizzes in each topic to keep things fresh? Take it easy today & get good rest tonight. It looks like this is your first exam? My biggest piece of advice since I just took FAR a month ago.. DO NOT freak out when you get to the SIMS, try to figure out what the heck they're asking (it might be very unclear what they are asking) and do your best to fill in everything. Good luck tomorrow!!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

“I do not want to study today” is not exactly the best excuse. You'll be kicking yourself if you end up getting a 74. I really suggest you push through and at least review the materials once through again. You want the information to be fresh in your mind.

thanks! I say I don't want to study today because my brain hurts I have been working HARD since May and I know that when I am relax I do better. If I had cram then I would have studied all the way up until the exam but I tend to over think things so for me I think that I should just walk away breathe relax and try to just repeat the major concepts in my head or something. If I get a 74 that would suck but…… when do you say enough is enough. Not taking a break from studying can be just as damaging right?

i typically book my exam times for mondays that way i can have the weekend to study (i work too). for bec, reg and far i have completely shut it down the sunday before the exam. meaning i didnt look, touch or glance at any becker material at all.

in fact i would just lounge around the house, play golf or go to the pool.

so far this has worked well for me (waiting on far).

this allows me to wake up early monday morning feeling refreshed and energetic. i will typically review notes and do mcqs the monday morning of the exam.

    best of luck.

I always feel like I don't WANT to study on that last day but I figure if I pick up one, maybe two new things its well worth it. What I do for my very last 24 hours is this, I look stuff up online. I wish I had used Roger SO BADLY because I adore his mnemonics and humor. So I look up Roger videos on youtube. I “feel” like I am getting a break from the monotony of studying, get a little chuckle, learn a little (I do better learning a mnemonic at the last hour).

Hey mla1169, I don't think I asked you this yet but how did you bring your REG 56 to a 75? All through researching?

Peanut the first time I took reg, I had a sinus infection, ear infection and needed a root canal. I hadnt slept in 3 days and didnt want to “waste” study time going to a doctor. I did as well as I could through tears (wanted to just die at the time) and left before I finished the exam, couldn't tell you how far I got or how long I was there (I think it was under 2 hours?) went STRAIGHT to urgent care who gave massive drugs lol. I'm actually impressed by my 56!

When I got my 49 in aud, I had just been given more work because of a layoff at my job, and my boss insisted very matter of fact reminded me how lucky I was NOT to have just been laid off–insisted I not leave work to take the exam (even though I had requested the time four months prior).

I swore to him I wouldn't be gone much longer than my regular lunch break. I think I worked at the exam for about an hour and a half then broke every speed to be back to work in 2 hours total.

Not making any excuses, I deserved to fail BOTH times–both situations could have been prevented if I thought them out better and both times I could (and SHOULD) have rescheduled.

Being stubborn killed me twice, lesson learned. But the two grades aren't exactly apples to apples either 🙂

I know exactly how you feel. I take days off of work and just stare at the book and questions the couple of days before an exam

    BEC - 86
    AUD - 94
    REG - 88
    FAR - 89
