Hello fellow Ninja’s,

I hope everyone in this forum is having a great summer. I am scheduled to take my BEC exam on July 24th. Starting from July26th I want to move on to FAR which is the beast amongst all parts. Considering the content in this section is very voluminous, and minute details – is little over 2 months period enough to cover the materials? I work full-time, and can only study for 3 hrs X 5 days = 15 hrs, and 16 hrs on weekends. I just applied for NTS this am, and will be expecting it in a day or two. My goal to take this section will be early October (1st week). I will be using Gleim for FAR as well. Any inputs/tips/prep suggestions will be really helpful. Thanks in advance for your time and help!

About 8 weeks is the magic number in my opinion for FAR. It can be done in less than that, but anymore might be too long.

My only tip for FAR is to constantly review material you've learned, while learning new material. Your study plan until you've learned all the material once should be 80% new material 20% review.

I'm taking about 8 weeks. I'm 2 weeks in and the pace is working well and I have peace of mind about the time I'll have to review before exam day.

My opinion for any of the exams is that over 6 weeks and you start to forget material that you “learned” at the beginning. If you choose to stick with 6 weeks, it is more intense for FAR than the other sections since there is so much material, or 8 might work of you too if you do the once over in the 6 weeks then spend 2 reviewing. You have to find what works for you, everyone is different.

I concur with 8 weeks. 6 weeks to get through the material and 2 weeks to review. You would be fine with +/- two weeks.

8 weeks seems like such a long time. this all depends on the person. i'm not studying any longer than 4 weeks.

I took 8 weeks for FAR and feel like I was losing information toward the end. Definitely recommend 6 weeks for it.

I initially thought 10 weeks would be enough, but I had a slow start and I am left with 6 weeks and about half the material to go through. I don't know if I can make it, I will push to the max as I would hate to reschedule the test. I hope 4 weeks are enough to go through half the material, then I will be left with 2 weeks for review.

I work full time, study about 3 hrs/day, and about 6 hrs on weekends, I think I am too slow, but I'm glad I realized this early enough to make a change in the pace.

Thing to remember is that 6 weeks with only 15 hours a week in study time is not the same at 6 weeks with 30 hours a week of study time.

With the amount of time you have to study each week, I think that 8-9 weeks with Gleim will be enough, but don't waiver in your study days or you can fall behind quickly. It is a lot of material to go over. My exam is 8/30 and I am currently on Chapter 11 of 20 in Gleim with about 18 hours of studying per week.

Like others have said, review as you go so you don't lose info.

Im personally doing 12 weeks of 15 hours a week, i can't commit to more than that. 30 hours a week sounds a lot to me, i feel like you either not going to be able to keep up with that or will burn out, that's just my 2 cent. Make a realistic commitment not to disappoint yourself. But like everyone else said, constantly review old material, because you will forget it.

I did it in 8 weeks studying about 20 hours a week which was every second of studying time I could squeeze in. The important thing is to keep on top of what you studied in week 1 during the subsequent weeks.

I did it in ten. Probably should of stopped at 9.

I'm doing audit in 7 and am glad to take it tomorrow but don't know if I'll pass!!!!
