Do you think it is possible to pass FAR in one month while working full time? I really want to make an attempt before the current testing window closes, but I don’t know if I have enough time. My worry is that if I don’t pass it in early April, then I have to wait a really long time for the third testing window. But if I take it in March and don’t pass, at least I get good practice and can retake it soon.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

It’s possible if you have a decent financial accounting knowledge base. You’ll need to go 8 hours work 8 hours study 8 hours sleep for a month straight.

If you dont mind paying $275 for “practice”, it could be worthwhile.

I would not waste the money and try to rush to take it in a month. FAR is a beast and needs adequate prep time. If you were studying full time, I would say definitely go for it but if you're working full time, I think you should just take it in early April and give yourself 7-8 weeks to adequately prepare for it. This exam had a 40% pass rate in Q4; it's the one part that I don't recommend rushing to take.

I agree with Club74. I was prepping for FAR while having just started my full time job and I played it on the safe side and gave it just about 2.5-3 months worth of time. I benefited from it.

These exams are a marathon, not a sprint. You need to prep for a minimum 8-12 weeks for FAR. I passed FAR on my first try but I studied a total of 12 weeks, 15-20 hours a week, while working full time. Passing these exams while working full time is possible, you just need to be disciplined, manage your time wisely, cut out all distractions, and set realistic expectations

I doubt you can do it in a month, but if the testing fee doesn't mean anything to you, I say go for it.
Great experience. Might make your actual exam attempt a little less nerve racking.

I tried doing it in a month. Literally 30 days – started studying Oct 14 and took my exam Nov 14th. I failed FAR with a 72. I lightly*** studied until 2 weeks before and went all out – 7-8 hours a day — was on vacation during this time and passed. Maybe 120-150 hours total studying for me.

You can deff do it in a month, but you're life is non-existant.

I had a 69% on my 2nd FAR attempt back in December. I'm restudying for March 9th and still averaging 60% in the MCQ's for FAR. Anyone have any advice whether I should work SIMS, go back to the books, or just keep doing MCQ's? I'm not sure what to do when my average isn't really increasing. Original poster, anything can be done but FAR is a beast and everyone learns differently, if you grind I'm sure you can be fine.

I was a MCQ learner. If I were you I would not focus on SIMs, but rather keep focusing on the MCQs.
You need to figure out your weak areas and strengthen them up. You still have a month to go.

Back to the OP. In my course FAR was 44 hours of videos. I'd try to bang that out in one week, and then spend 3 weeks doing 100 MCQs a day.
That would probably be enough to get you across the finish line, but it's going to be a tough grind for a month.

I passed FAR in about 4.5 weeks and I didn’t really go hard until about 3 weeks left. I was planning on extending to a later date but realized my NTS expired and I couldn’t take it beyond the date I was scheduled. That’s when I hit the after burners and just gave it a shot since I would’ve lost my test fee. Thankfully passed with an 80 first attempt. I skipped a bunch of chapters that I already felt comfortable with from work experience and MAcc studies. Ideally I would say 6 weeks is a good amount of time for FAR. Good luck.

I actually think it's very doable, even more so if you have a background in financial accounting. If you put in 25-30 hours per week you're looking at 100-120 hours total. That's what many people do and end up passing. Some even less – I only spent about 80 hours total studying for FAR (but I also had a decent background in financial accounting).
