    Currently, I am going through the CPAexcel lectures and MCQ. But there is just so much of it that it doesn’t seem like I’m retaining any information. Also, I scheduled the exam on May 31, cause I want to take a chance at this exam this quarter to see what it’s like, and then take it for real on July 11. But honestly, given by the way I’m retaining information (or not retaining information), staying with this plan for another month and a half does not seem it’s going to help. Should I just plan to take the exam for real on May 31 and just switch to Jeff’s 20 day method?

    Sounds good. I'll send you one afterwards. I normally get off at 6pm.

    @ DTS, what you're going through is normal. It seems the material really starts to sink in a week or two before the exam. I used the Wiley/CPAexcel book to pass this exam. Barley used the test bank. I did all odd numbered multiple choice questions in the book and all sims twice, plus supplemented with ninja notes/audio/blitz. Good luck!

    @davem

    Thanks for the comments. Also, based on your results, would you suggest I just abandon CPAexcel and just read the Wiley Textbook to cover this material? I still plan to supplement either method with Ninja Notes and Audio and WTB.

    I suggest doing the sims in the testbank, but ignoring the test bank's MCQ during your main study program since the book questions are more in-depth. My method was to read the Wiley book text ,stop in the middle of the chapter when it said to work MCQ 1-25 for example, work only the odd numbered questions, then continue reading until the next MCQ stop point. I used the testbank MCQ as a final review tool after I was done with the book. I think this method is a good way to go through a lot of material. But everyone is different. I would highly recommend buying the electronic version of the wiley book for your kindle or I-pad. Makes studying super portable!
