Long story short, due to miscellaneous stuff in real life, my FAR exam tomorrow will be my first attempt at any section of the CPA exam. I have been eagerly awaiting this day for a long time. Ready or not, it is time to enter the belly of the beast.

Let us know what you think of the exam.

How well have you been doing on MCQs?

@mangos Honeslty, I have been slacking on MCQs. I have been scoring 40-50% on Wiley Test Bank, so if we are going by that then it is not looking promising to say the least. But I am done delaying this crap.

    1st testlet: fairly easy

    2nd testlet: much harder

3rd testlet: I wouldn't necessarily say it's difficult, but it took a more lot time, could be just because of fatigue

Simulations: with the exception of the research question, I think I did fairly well to at least get partial credit on each of the other ones

Man this wait-a-month-to-get-your-score thing is pretty lame. Regardless, next up, AUD!!!!!

Good job CPA_Romantic! I have already started AUD, and I wish I was studying FAR again 🙂 What a snooze fest.

May 5? can't come fast enough…tick tock tick tock.

@mangos I had ample time. Moved on to 2nd testlet at 3 hours and 20 minutes, 3rd testlet at 2 hours and 40 minutes, and simulations at 2 hours. I finished the simulations part with about an hour left, then I went back and looked over it and realized I didn't RTMFQ, and actually caught a lot of errors I made. I was done for real with the exam with about 30 minutes left. The thing is, for multiple-choice, if I come across a question I didn't know how to solve, I would just guess and move on. I figured that if I really don't know how to solve a question, then it's better to just take a 25% chance at guessing than waste time on it.

@Getting a CPA Hehe yeah I hear you on waiting for May to come. As for AUD, I actually am better at just memorizing things, so I am looking forward to it. Plus, I hear there is a lot of overlap between FAR and AUD, and that AUD seems a lot easier if you take FAR before it (just what I've heard, don't know if it's actually true lol).

CPA _Romantic – Yep I am already seeing that.

just stick to it. it's gonna suck for x period of time, but then everything else you do in life will be so much more fun after this. It's easier to appreciate the mundane things. Good luck
