When studying, or even during the exam, I find myself to get REALLY distracted by the generic company names they give during questions. I think about how it’s suppose to be pronounced, or question whether it makes sense in the context of what the company does. I know it has no bearing at all to what the question is asking me, but I can’t help but get distracted. Am I alone in this?

For example I had a question with “Minon Inc.” and I debated to myself if it was a company that misspelled filet mignon (which I don’t actually know how to spell?), or maybe minion. Or maybe it’s a mining company. I think it’s just part of me not feeling like studying, and looking for anything else to do, but it’s quite irritating and I was just wondering if I was the only one.

Minion? I'm thinking of the minions from Despicable me 🙂

Love it how Gru knows all their names.

I know how you feel… I get distracted with the air I breath! It is that bad.

And with Minion, I think of the fish in the movie Megamind.

I don't necessarily get distracted by the names, but definitely find some of them funny. I was working some Audit MCQ's today, and the payroll processor in the question was “DP.” I wonder why they can't/won't just say ADP?
