It has been 12 years since I graduated with an accounting major. For one reason or the other I procrastinated and never got around to downloading the application and submitting the money order towards the “prestigious” CPA designation. I don’t exactly know what changed this year but I decided to take the plunge. The initial application / evaluation formalities were completed in January this year, however, I was not able to begin the exam preparations as I was blessed with a baby girl in February. The NTS for BEC was scheduled to expire on 07/20/2010 and In mid June I pushed myself to schedule BEC for 07/20 and started studying from 2006 Gleim material. I did not struggle with the concepts and had a decent command over the topics but was still worried at times because of the calculated risk that I was taking studying from old material. I felt pretty good after I took the exam and that motivated me to schedule other sections. This time my benevolent employer paid for the Becker review course. I took AUD on 08/31, REG on 10/15 and FAR on 11/23.
Eagerly awaiting FAR result and am hoping that this would be a good Holiday season for me 🙂
BEC-86, AUD-97, REG-87, FAR-?, Ethics-100.
