Testing Center Question

Hey guys. Love the site and getting to read up on everyone’s experiences and tips as I get ready for my first test this coming Monday.

I have a quick question regarding the testing center. It seems like from what I have gathered that some people were actually able to start their exam earlier than their scheduled time. Is this common or does it depend on the particular test center you go to? The reason I am asking is that my test is scheduled for 3:30, as it was the only time available, but I would really like to be able to start sooner if at all possible. Thanks for the help!

Ive shown up to each exam 30 minutes early usually only have to wait another 5 minutes or so until they call for me. It would be different for each prometric location and how busy they are at that particular time.

    REG- 81
    BEC- 72,76
    AUD- 67,88
    FAR- 78

    Done!

It depends on the Prometric test site and space availability. In this window, I have scheduled a test on a weekend at 1:30 PM and shown at the site at 12:00 PM. They allowed me immediately.

    Class of 2012 - 13.

I've been able to get in a little early for my tests. Not an hour early but 20 minutes or so. I think it will depend on how busy your Prometric center is.

    AUD: 07/11/11 - Passed
    BEC: 08/27/11 - Passed
    FAR: 01/17/12 - Passed
    REG: 04/30/12; Re-take 7/16/12 - Passed

    FINISHED!!!!!!!!

I haven't tried to get in much earlier than 30-45 minutes but I have never had to wait at either Prometric center I took the exam.

    AUD - 81 (05/11/12)
    BEC - 86 (08/11/12)
    REG - 73 (11/10/11),78 (01/07/12)
    FAR - 77 (2/25/12)

Yeah I kind of figured it would be a case by case situation. Thanks for all your responses!

It depends on how many seats the have available. I've started all 3 of my tests ~30 minutes early, but the last one I was at they actually let someone with a 3:00 test time start at noon after checking their computer. I was amazed. I wouldn't count on that happening though 🙂

When I took AUD in November, the testing center emailed and called me the morning of the my exam and told me I could come in at any time that day for what was originally a 1:30 exam.

Interesting enough, my prometric center lets me start the test EXTREMELY late.

The last test I took, I forgot my NTS and I payed the consequence. So so bad. But your test time doesn't start till way after.

My test was at 3:00 and there weren't many people around that time. The prometric center officially closed at 10pm. So I don't recommend you do show up late. Next time, if I feel last minute studying would be beneficial, I might sit there for an hour to review my notes. I always feel that helps.

Lastly, someone taking the LSAT was on break. And she pulled a book out of her locker to check her materials. I dunno what the regulations for the LSAT is, but I imagine that is illegal. only the prometric staff didn't catch her. whatever.

They asked me if i wanted to go in earlier when i arrived … i told them i would prefer to study ! I'm glad i did ! it was a close one “FAR” … 😀 > they want u to come early in case it was busy … if there is space for you that day ! i guess they wont mind u taking it earlier … but i would call them if i were you …
