    Hi guys!

I take the exam on Monday and was wondering how much time you allocated to the 3 testlets of 90 MC questions, and how much time you would recommend to have left to complete the 6-7 sims? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    AUD - 92 [5/31/11]
    FAR - ___ [8/1/11]
    BEC - 85 [8/31/11]
    REG - ___ [10/17/11]

FAR is certainly hard and you are right in thinking you should have a plan of how to manage your time during the exam…I personally knew I needed a lot of time for the Sims, so I planned for about 45 minutes per testlet leaving me with 1.5 hours for the Sims. It was a plan I committed to during the exam and had just over 1.5 hours for the Sims and used every bit of it! I was able to finish and I did pass!

Btw, nice score for Audit! What course are you using?

    Best of luck to you!

    BEC: 79 - April 2011
    FAR: 78 - May 2011
    AUD: 81 - May 2012
    REG: 79 - October 2012
    Ethics: Passed - March 2013
    I am finally DONE!

IwannaBaCPA – I am thinking I will be using a similar schedule as you. I started my final review yesterday, but feel like I forgot everything! I am hoping it all comes back to me as I plug away til exam day.

Thanks – I am using Becker 2011. I am hoping that FAR goes just as well as Audit -_-

    @SRT

I agree with Iwanna that using a schedule leaving 1 1/2 hours for the SIMS. Remember that the first testlet will be easier (hopefully!) than the second or third so shoot for finishing the first one in 35-40 minutes to give yourself a few extra minutes on the others. Also, read the last sentence of the question first so you know what you need to figure out. The examiners often include a lot of superfluous information that can cause you to waste time by reading and thinking about it.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85
