I’m pretty nervous, as expected but I know I’ve prepared a lot since I’ve been studying since late January so I just hope I’ve done more than the other candidates sitting this window. I wanted to ask what your test day tactics are, for instance I’ve heard people say not to get too hung up on a question you’re unsure of. What is the maximum time that you personally will spend on a question? Thanks everyone for all your support, and Happy Easter- I hope you are all enjoying some time with your families today!

Do you think the research tool will be as helpful for FAR sims? I could see why it could be really clutch for Reg or Aud.

I smell a shopping date! Yeah, u got this, homegirl. Esp if you're crushin it at USC MAcc, this is gonna be a walk in the park. If you got ACC Theory on lock then you can pretty much talk yourself through any question just using theory and understanding. Governmental and NFP on the other hand…egh…different story. We better get a status update right after the exam letting us know how you killed it.

I've never taken FAR, but it has really helped me for AUD and REG. So I don't see why not? I know I'm looking forward to utilizing it on test day.

Yeah I just feel like with FAR it might help for a theory based SIM but probably not anything JE related but we shall see! And BaseballCPA, I feel like I've studied so long for this but I also feel like there just isn't ever enough preparation that can be done. I can also be an anxious test taker so I just need to take it one step at a time like you said. I keep reminding myself that this should be treated like a regular school test and that I didn't even get retakes on school exams! I've felt pretty comfortable with the material until I got in the 60s range on the Becker final exam and then all my anxiety broke lose like a week ago but I've managed to chill out this weekend.

@Mg — Yea, you're always going to feel like that…and you know what really sucks, you're going to feel even worse when you walk out of the testing center (at least, I always did), but don't let it get you down…the exam just makes you feel like you failed and I passed all of them. I gave Kricket some advice about test taking on another thread (https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/how-were-you-as-a-student); don't know if it will help you, but I've always found myself to be a pretty good test taker and those are just some of things that I think about (or not, actually) when I'm in an exam. I think you are well prepared and probably going to destroy it. I have confidence in you!

I think as always thats great advice. I'm not a nervous test taker in my classes, if anything I'm a bit over relaxed I'm the type of person who either gets the highest grade in classes, or the lowest hahaha I just need to apply that to the CPA. I just hate the whole prometric feel of it.

@mgoloubenko — GOOD LUCK!!! you can do it!!! But I do know how you feel about the final review for Becker, I took it couple of days ago, and I wasn't happy with my score. I thought i was comfortable with the material and all, but I did well with the sims. On the other hand, MC's killed me, but I'm over it and I saw my mistakes. It was pretty much stupid mistakes, like read the QUESTION wrong! lol — one of them is what is the CI, but i jumped into it too fast and calculated the OCI only (yah pretty embarrassing)!!! But hey, I'll rather make mistakes now than on my testing day! But seriously lesson learned: READ THE QUESTION!!!

Thanks Blessieghee! I totally agree, sometimes I decide what the question must be asking before even really reading it lol I have to not jump to conclusions. What did you end up scoring? PS I really recommend you check out the IFRS material on cpareviewforfree.com, I found it really beneficial since I heard so much IFRS is tested now and at least 15 of those questions weren't really covered by Becker!

@mgoloubenko my MC's were like in the 60's. The SIMS i have a 100% on some of the topics, and a few 70-80's. I have to be honest though, I totally blanked out on the BDE simulations, so I skipped it! I totally knew where it was on my FC but i just blanked out! I know Leases/Pension/Bonds/CF/S/EPS/G/NFP by heart though! It's the early accounting stuff that troubles me, is it weird that i hate adjusting entries?!?!?! –lol …Thanks for the tip! I actually purchased the NINJA notes and they did a great job highlighting the IFRS! I was contemplating whether to purchase the Becker flash cards, but good thing I didn't so I ended up getting the NINJA NOTES! HIghly recommend it for the rest of our parts!

I was actually thinking about purchasing the NINJA notes, but I have so many from Becker and then about 400 I made myself that I think I would just get overwhelmed. I totally agree, I feel much more comfortable with those big topics than minutia that's covered in F1-F2 & F10.

YES!!! I'm not the only one!!! Yah i made my own FC as well then compared it with the Ninja notes. I didn't have to rewrite or add everything that was on the Ninja notes, but I did read it and sometimes an explanation from a different source makes more sense. It seems to me that Becker complicates on some of the topics, where as ninja notes simplifies them!!

Yeah I'll definitely check it out for BEC! But literally if the test was only on the topics you mentioned above, I'd be the happiest girl ever.
