I am using Becker’s. Original plan was 2 chapters a week then 2 weeks review. Would’t you know it, that life never goes as expected. I am just starting to review today. At least I have 2 full weekends before exam. Need tips for review. I am honestly just happy I was able to get through all the video and material. How well I will retain it is another question. I have answered all SIMS once, all MCQ went through twice. Was not impressed with my scores. My plan was to do progress test, review weakest area from there including SIMS. Take full practice test tomorrow and progress tests every other day (reviewing on off day) up until next weekend where I will take Final Practice Test.

It is amazing that even if with 2 degrees and passing audit I still feel sick to my stomach. It feels like FAR is equivalent of a final exam of 3 semesters worth of topics. It is crazy.

    AUDIT: 88 2/12/14 (Lost Credit), 92 11/30/15
    FAR: 71 4/14,70 5/15, 70 8/15, 80 10/15 (FINALLY)
    REG:80 11/14
    BEC: 80 5/15

Spartan, I am also starting at a Big 4 in the Fall. Have you already received a start date? I have been working full time and going to school 8 years. Finished up MSA in January and trying to get as much of CPA done before Fall also. Are you going to take the 4 hour final exams? I took a 100 question progress test last night and need major improvement on a few topics. Feel like I am better served reviewing key areas of failure for 4 hours vs. a Final exam but up in the air. lol will probably do both and be a complete zombie today. I hate how as soon as I read the answers on questions I get wrong it comes back to me. So much information to retain.

    AUDIT: 88 2/12/14 (Lost Credit), 92 11/30/15
    FAR: 71 4/14,70 5/15, 70 8/15, 80 10/15 (FINALLY)
    REG:80 11/14
    BEC: 80 5/15

@CPAnoidea In my opinion, sims 2 and 3 in F6 for pensions are both representative of something you could possibly see on the exam.

I'm using CPA Excel and got through all of the material 4/2, leaving me 2 weeks and a couple days of review before my 4/19 exam. I didn't do a ton of MCQs as I was going through the material, just enough to get a basic understanding of concepts I wasn't comfortable with. Now I'm going through Wiley Test Bank section by section, starting with sections that have the fewest number of questions. I'm keeping an Excel file to note anything I didn't know (or retain). I figure I'll be through all sections in a few days, then I'll start quizzing on everything and looking at AICPA released questions and more CPA Excel questions.

    FAR: 4/19/2014 - 85!
    AUD: 5/27/2014 - 90!
    REG: 7/18/2014 - 81!
    BEC: 8/13/2014 - 84!

    4 up, 4 down, in 4 months.

@Kscope I plan on taking both of the practice final comprehensive exams before I sit for the exam. I understand working on your weak areas is important, but it's also important to put yourself into a simulated practice final exam. I will most likely take the first one within the next couple of days, and see how I do. I plan on spending the rest of the week and next week working on my weak areas, and more importantly journal entries and sims as well.

I haven't received my start date yet, but I'm assuming it'll be sometime in July or September 🙂

    AUD - 01/18/14 - 81
    BEC - 05/29/14 - 85
    FAR - 07/18/14 - 81
    REG - 11/18/14 - 80

I'm in a similar position as you guys. I sit for the exam on 4/15. So far I've gone through all the lectures and done a little more than half of the MC while going through. I feel ok about the material but for the next week I'm going to review chapter by chapter, redo ALL the MC and mark my weaknesses, then take the final reviews the day before.

PS I'm starting at BDO in the Fall WHOOOOT!!

    FAR 5/1 - 83
    REG 7/7 - 79
    AUD 11/20 - 85
    BEC 8/27 - ALMOST THERE!!

3 for 3! Study high, get high grades!!

I wish I did not work full time while studying. Huge difference between studying and good studying. Putting in hours on both ends of days but can just tell I am mentally and physically exhausted! Brutal.

In this world we live in, who can win?

When people don't have a job, they look for it.

When they find a job, they wish they didn't have one:)

@Kscope, good luck to you on your test on 4/14. You can do it!
