Hey all! Been browsing around this forum for a while now thought I would join and say hello.

I take FAR on July 23. I’m feeling pretty confident but still nervous at the same time. I did NIU CPA Review and have been studying for FAR since the start of June. (about 3-5 hours a day in June depending on the day/week because of summer classes and then 8-10 hours a day in July). I have been through all the chapters/books at least 3 times, made notecards on items that I have struggled with, done the MCQ and have done MCQ on Gleim and some Gleim simulations. I have also made a list of items that I’ve struggled with on the MCQ for last minute studying.

I’ve been getting between 70-85% pretty consistently in sets of 30 MCQ but sometimes I end up in the mid to low 60’s which makes me nervous that if I get some ambiguous questions on the exam I’m screwed. I’ve also heard that Gleim questions can be much harder than the actual exam so that is encouraging.

Is there any tips anyone has for my last week of Studying for FAR? Amount of time to study, what to study, etc? Spent a lot of time on FAR that I really hope I pass the first time.

    Thanks!

It sounds like you are really prepared. My only advice is to get everything ready the night before and get a good night's sleep. I usually pack my NTS, last minute review notes, a bottle of water, a coke, candy, gum and a granola bar. Sounds a little excessive, but I am a stress eater and it helps! I would probably do a full exam Sat morning and spend Sat afternoon and Sunday morning doing mini quizzes from any problem areas and re reading notes. Take it easy on Sunday so that your mind is fresh on Monday.

Good luck and welcome to A71!
