Taking FAR for the first time…

So I am taking FAR next Saturday and I wish I was prepared, but unfortunately I am not. I have only gotten through about 4 chapters. I started preparing in September and thought 10 weeks would be plenty of time, but boy was I wrong. I feel like FAR is a semester worth of work in grad school. It is so challenging for me. I am not rescheduling because 1) I want to actually attempt the exam and see what the questions are like and 2) I only have 9 months left to pass FAR and REG.

Does anyone feel like FAR is their beast? It seems foreign to me because I have never really had to use any of these concepts, journal entries, etc. It is very difficult. Hoping I can slay the beast, if not this month, definitely in Q1.

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 88!!! DONE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 76
    REG - 77

    never, never, never give up

Sit far on feb or March

I always had this thought just like you. Even though i didnt prepare everything yet, i'll take it this time just for practice. WRONG!

I took several exams before without completing my plan. Stick to your plan! Finish it! Postpone ur exam(unless ur nts expiring?)

It will only discourage you and feel like crap when u fail. You feel like u have to start all over again. And while u waiting for the score, it's hard to study same subject while u donno if u passed or not. The exam u took for practice would not help/add to ur score for the second attempt. Only your additional time/effort will.

I donno. Maybe u r like those smartest people who study for two wks and pass. In that case, just ignore me!

But many candidates with score at 60s 50s or under, they confess that they didnt study, didnt put much effort/ their nts was expiring.

Even though i'm abt 70% complete on my plan and have abt 11days left, i really want to postpone it if i can. But my audit expiring Feb. So i need to take this attempt. Hopefully i dont have to take far at my last chance

@Tootsie FAR is really a beast, I do understand your comment it looks like you have plenty of time but once that you start, is really a lot! I'm studying with the objective to pass, I don't want to put in my mind the fail so I'm puting lots of time to this, hopefully all turns well. I'm writing it on Feb 1.

    Good luck!
