Hi Guys

I’m taking Far the day after, just need some advice

How did you guys manage to remember all 9 chapters (becker) materials?

I didn’t even have time to try some simulation questions but still stuck on MC for all chapters

If anything, do all of the Journal entries in every sim. Try to re-write the Journal entries that are in the book. I know that sounds like a lot, but at least try to do some. It will possibly help on exam day. The simulations provided in the Becker material will probably help you get through the MCQ on the exam, but nothing compared to the exam simulations. NOT that they are harder or scarier, they just don't compare. Of course, keep doing the MCQ from Becker. It is what it is – come exam day. Good Luck!

Honestly, I wasn't the best with journal entries and didn't take the time to review them before exam day. I felt I had to guess a little on exam day, but I still passed. No fear 🙂

The material was so much that memorizing everything was not possible. The key is sprinkling a little bit of each chapter on your FAR dinner plate in the couple days before the exam. Do 50-question progress tests covering all chapters, for example. You may not feel like you're remembering everything, but subconsciously, those practice questions will sink in. If it's been a week since you've had anything from one of the chapters, that's probably not a good thing. In the last couple days before your test, just make sure you review some things from each chapter.

I walked in there feeling like I had forgotten everything. But the brain doesn't forget that quickly. You'll get questions you won't remember how to exactly work out, but you'll figure them out. That was my experience, anyway.

My FAR is coming up in a little over a week too, and I'm feeling the same way – just so much STUFF.

Sounds like sound advice though folks…and congrats to whitesoxfancpa on finishing – also thanks for hanging in here with the rest of us who are trying to get to the finish line. Also congrats to passing the FAR beast, CPA Someday – good luck on AUD!
