Take the exam January or February?

I noticed some people that only have 1 exam to take in the Jan/Feb window are choosing to take it very early January. What is the benefit? Why not take your time to study as much as possible or enjoy a little time off in studying and take the test late February? You won’t get your score any sooner than mid to late March anyway.

Am I missing something? What is the benefit of taking the exam early Jan rather than mid to late February? Just curious..

I will take REG (My last test) as late in February as I can. I wont get any benefits of booking earlier, but I will have more time to study and less waiting time to receive the results.

Maybe they will start losing credits in early Jan? Just guessing.

That would be one reason to take an exam on January. Another reason could be if you are taking 2 sections on this window. But if a candidate has one part left, it should be taken on February, I strongly believe.

You also gotta think about tax season. My NTS expires on 1/28 so I have to take it by then or reapply and repay the fees. And there is no way that I would try to study and sit for the exam during tax season. That's just crazy talk!
