Just got an email from NASBA, says, “Scores from test results that were received day 1 – 20 by the AICPA were scheduled to be release on November 5th. The release of these scores will be delayed approximately one week or more” ……

I'm really freaking annoyed. I think this is a hell of a sorry excuse considering all these scores were sent in far before the Hurricane had even happened. Absurd.

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    USC MAcc- Fight on!

They say good things come to those who wait, but only those things that are left by those who hustle.

I can't imagine having scores delayed 24 hours before you're supposed to get them 🙁 I hope they're giving a worst case scenario and they'll release sooner!

Seems very lazy, and dare I say, possibly dishonest…its not like they have all the scores in a big hand cart that they have to scoot across the street in the rain. This is the reason we have the damn internetz!

I think it has less to do with whether or not they are graded, and more to do with the fact that their servers are probably down at those facilities since there is no power there.

A lot of power utilities in NJ (where the scores are currently) are not estimating power to be fully restored across the state for around 6-9 days, some utilities even longer. Once they can access their systems they will update everyone on the new release date.

Reality check. There's people who lost their homes and you guys are complaining about waiting an extra week for a CPA score?

My house got little drops of leakage coming from the roof. Not a big problem, but I am effected by this. I am not complaining, only if NASBA adds extra week or so into December for candidates to take exam

Hey jenuno01..reality check back at ya, cause I hate when people say “reality check”…how many children starved yesterday in Africa?

Why are you even still here? You passed your test. Go be a CPA

I'm sure the families of the 38 people currently confirmed dead because of this “little wind storm” are very sorry that someone's score will be delayed a whole week. I'm sure that's top of their list of things to worry about right now. How about a little compassion for our fellow human beings? Weathermen don't call them “Hurricane's” because it's a fun word to say. They are dangerous storms that leave a path of destruction that can't just be cleaned up in a day or two. Homes have been ripped from their foundations, at least one neighborhood burned to the ground, and families separated. I've seen my fair share of these storms and I can tell you from experience that you will NEVER know that kind of terror until you survive it. We are talking about waiting a week for a score when some people will never see their loved ones again. I'm not waiting on a score right now because my test is scheduled for 11/21 but I'd wait forever for that final score to hear that just one person thought to be dead actually survived.

I dunno guys. Of course the people who are suffering and lost so much (or everything) are most important. That said, I'm sure that since Monday we've all vented about something virtually insignificant in comparison. I don't think venting a little bit on a CPA exam forum about frustration waiting for scores is that insensitive. A similar vent on almost any other type of forum would be exceptionally insensitive.
