Study while waiting for scores?

After I take FAR on May 10, should I study for one of the smaller tests like BEC or AUD while I wait? The scores aren’t going to be released until the 3rd week of the no test period (June). Right? Why not try and get another part going while I wait? It’s possible to get BEC or AUD done in a 1 1/2 months… I hope.

Or should I just keep studying the FAR material so that its fresh in my mind if I end up failing?

    Waiting will suck.

Move on and start studying for another section while you are waiting. No sense studying for FAR again since you may not need to take it again but if you DO its easy enough to switch back over. Maybe move on to AUD since some of the concepts overlap.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

@Accountaholic, If you take FAR on May 10th the scores will most likely be released May 23rd according to the AICPA (they do multiple score releases per testing window rather than one at the end of the off month)… However, I would still start studying for another part in the mean time.

    https://blog.aicpa.org/2012/01/2012-cpa-exam-score-release-timetable-q1q2.html

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

You've got a whole month to go, and you're already worried about failing and not knowing whether or not to move on to the next section after you take it? If I were you, I'd cross that bridge when you get there.

Here's your solution: Study like a maniac, leaving no possible chance of failing. Then you can move on to the next topic with no fear of having to return to FAR again. Even if that's not possible, you need to give yourself the best chance you can to pass FAR. Make that you're only worry right now.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!
    Ethics - 100

TERRIBLE attitude. You can't think like that. Study for the next section, pass it, and if you fail, re-study for that section next. It's over now…time to move on and pass the next one!
