Hi Everybody. This is the first time I have posted to this forum (or any forum, really) so please forgive me if this topic has been covered or if I am posting in the wrong place or something.

Anyway, I am studying for FAR and I have about a month (06 September Woohoo!) until my exam. I have completed my lectures some with Roger’s full course some of the later ones with his cram course. My goal was to spend the entire month of August with the MCQs and TBSs, but as I am diving into the MCQs from the earlier sections from like a month ago I am feeling like I don’t remember what I learned.

Does anyone have any advise for me? I know the there is extraordinary value in doing the MCQs and TBSs, but when I keep getting them wrong it is kind soul sucking … and then reading the answer in the software is kind of like when the adults from Charlie Brown start talking … blah, blah, blah.

This is kind of topic, but I would really like to pass FAR, BEC and AUD so that my REG score of 76 from last year doesn’t expire on me during busy season.

You ever watch Karate Kid? The original one from the '80s.

You're trying to catch a fly with chopsticks. You will fail many times. You're preparing to fight the guy from Cobra Kai. You need to master the Crane in order to do so.

You need to practice, fail, get up, fail, get up , fail, again and again.

If you use an adaptive MCQ program – you'll be able to track progress.

I needed 1200 MCQ to pass FAR. I'd just plan to do all of them and more.

Another thing – I think you did a fantastic play by going through the videos first. You won't remember what you learned in the lectures at first – but with repetition – it will gel. The big show is an MCQ and TBS number. So practice those MCQ and TBS.

@M123 Thank you for that visual. It gave me a good laugh. Cobra Kai man!

My FAR exam is the last week of August. I feel the same way…my MC is killing me. It seems that for every right answer I get about 9 wrong ones. I'm rewriting my notes which should take a couple of days and then I will hitting my MC and SIMS. I want to reread the section and then take the MC. I hope that my scores will start to improve and then I can study my MC more thoroughly. This is a retake for me and I am stressing out. Waiting on Audit score release in a couple of weeks isn't helping things. I have Becker and I am plodding though but I also got ninja so I try to listen to the audio at the gym or at work. I use headphones since it isn't that busy yet.

    Good Luck everyone!
