Hello World:
Am trying to determine a pace for making it through Becker FAR.
There are 1300 MC Review Questions.
Each question has a “Read” phase; a “Decide” phase; and a “Review Phase”. So, if I give every phase 2 mins, then that’s 6 mins per question, which is 7800 mins, or 130 hours. This would be just under a month of FT study = 130/4 = 32.5 hrs per week.
(That does not account for Simulations, Lecture Time, Flash Cards, Goofing Around Time, Breaks and/or Mistakes.)
I haven’t set up my seat for FAR yet. I was hoping for early Jan, but I am thinking of pushing it back a bit.
My questions are like: 1.) Is this too rapid a pace? How much time should I be allocating to recreational thought and study? Simulations? Etc…
I think it is going to take a lot longer than the MC estimate above, but I’m not sure how to estimate the time without undershooting it. There’s also the issue of scope creep when I am studying, as time becomes more extended on trying to figure out difficult concepts. It’s also like I am concerned with thwarting burnout and the need for recreational time.
Any thoughts here?
Thanks,
wm
