Hi!

I take my FAR exam on Aug 24 and have been debating on purchasing Jeff’s notes. I am on lesson F7 right now and have gone through and handwritten notes to each chapter I’ve completed so far. I’ve also printed off all the Becker notes that come with each chapter and reviewed those. Would it be redundant to pay the money for Jeff’s notes or sufficient to use Becker’s and my own? I realize anything extra can’t hurt. I just don’t want to overload myself with notes if I already have a sufficient amount.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. FAR is already driving me crazy and I just want to knock it out on my first go-around!

I would say varitey of study material sources would be good

I'm thinking the same thing. It couldn't hurt? I see that you passed both FAR and BEC. Congrats! I took BEC last month and don't know how to feel about it since it was my first. What were your feelings leaving the exam? Also, do you have any tips on passing FAR? It is far too overwhelming at this point in my studying!

Jeff does produce some pretty good notes, so I would recommend purchasing them. He has some items that you wouldn't think to put in your own notes but do pop up on the actual exam. Good luck on FAR. I took it on the first try and passed but it wasn't easy. The best advice I can give you is to not get discouraged while taking it. When I got halfway through my second testlet, I knew there was no way I was going to pass because it was hard question after hard question and I was struggling but I kept going and sure enough I did.

They are really good notes…especially if you are like me and just flat out lazy when it comes to note taking. There is not much more I dislike than taking notes!

kjwc4b – I'm glad you purchased them, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've used Jeff's notes for AUD and REG and they were very helpful. I take my own notes but Jeff's condensed set of notes is really helpful. Good luck!

I have Jeff's notes and carry them around with me everywhere in my briefcase (work, home, car, etc.). You can pull them out any time. Standing in line, bathroom breaks ……sorry Jeff 🙂

They are more detailed than I would have compiled (and perhaps that's why I haven't passed yet!)

When I left the test thought I failed it! I felt like half the stuff on the exam was not in the Becker Review. When I recieved my score I was like no way I passed!!!

This process is a rough one! I just spend some quality time with Becker,btw I can not stand Peter!!!, and do alot of praying!

Adding my two cents pretty late – Jeff does have a money back option if you don't feel the notes don't help you. Take a look and then make a decision. We always know where we can contact him 😉

How would these compare to the Becker Final review notes for AUD? I started with the yeager lecture, but not very pleased. Intructor mainly tells you to read that later, not sure if Gary teaches all the way through. FAR was much better.

@ cpawannabee – Did you finally pass BEC with Jeff's notes? Or did you have them all along?

I actually bought them the day before my exam and didn't get the chance to look them over before the test, since I had decided to review Becker's chapter notes fully first. However, I did glance at them after the test and they looked great. So if you need to add an extra oomph to your review, it might be a good idea to get them.

I would look them over fully now to give you a better description but I am really trying not to look at any of my study materials since, because I tend to remember a ton of the questions after the exam, I don't want to find out what I got wrong. After my other exams I did go through and check up some of the questions and it drove me crazy when I found out I answered incorrectly!
