Study Mode in Wiley?

    Can someone tell me how to get into the Study Mode on the Wiley online test bank? also is there still a way to get the test bank on USB or CD?

    I thought I read somewhere that the newer version doesn't have that feature anymore. If you find out how to get there though I'd love to know about it too!

    The new “Offline Player” is schedule to launch next Monday July 2nd (barring any last minute delays). If we do launch, the Online Test Bank will be down (offline and unavailable) during most of Monday.

    Study Mode is just starting a “Practice Session” and click the “!” icon to turn on Answer Explanations. Use “Esc” key to close the answer box. The answer box only comes up after you make an answer choice and click to go to the next question.

    Great. Of course you guys are going to be down a few days before my test. God forbid you guys took care of your customers and launched things during the night like most companies do to avoid inconveniencing their customers. Must be nice to be the only game in town, because otherwise I doubt the majority of CPA candidates would tolerate the lack of service for the already mistake/error filled product you provide.

    Studying for the CPA exam is something that happens 365 days a year, no matter what they do it will inconvenience someone.

    I think they are providing good customer service by letting us know about it ahead of time. 🙂 That gives us time to print out our AICPA pre-released questions and have other study material available during this 1 day of interruption of service.

    My exam is on July 3rd, so yes it will be a bummer not to have access to it, but I do have my notes, my book (Which is full of their questions in paper format) In the end it's all about upgrading, and if they are doing updates to it, then great that makes me happy they are working to make their product better.

    Trust me, they have a wonderful product compared to the other 3 competitors I have also tried. 🙂

    You are right regarding the site being down being an inconvenience for someone regardless of when they do it. Perhaps it's just the absolutely horrendous customer service I've received both times I've contacted them that's left a bad taste in my mouth.

    As for their “competitors”… Do they really have anyone when it comes to test banks? My review course has a few mcqs and I guess there is CPAreviewforfree.com but other than that I can't think of any, at least not that can be bought separately?

    No, there are no competitors when it comes to test banks. (at least not in this price range, you always have to buy the entire package)

    As for their competitors, the one draw back to them is that they do not give good explanations to the correct answer's, or at least they aren't as clear as Wiley's are for me.

    Also on the poor customer service, maybe their customer service is really busy right now helping with this new upgrade and that's why they weren't very helpful. I really don't know, I can only assume that since I have had good experiences with their customer service over the phone.

    My work computer died today out at a clients, so I feel your frustration with technology today. It's very frustrating and waste's a lot of our valuable time when things don't work as we hoped they would. 🙂
