I used Becker, and only Becker to pass all 4 sections. I was considering creating a thread to share my experience – not sure if it would be helpful to anyone, though.

I used Becker and I think it does a good job. I purchased it myself, my company did not pay for it and I am glad I made the investment. If you can afford to shell out on Becker, I would recommend it. Make your own notecards! For each lesson, review your notecards and use Wiley that you have as extra practice. Hope that helps

I just started with CPAexcel, why do you feel the need to switch?

Do you feel CPAExcel didn't prepare you? I am using CPAExcel for FAR, and I hope it's all I need 🙂

@ zooyuka – i noticed that your timeline says you took FAR in Q4 2012. Did you like using CPAExcel. I just want to use the best material I can to get this exam passed. I don't want to have to keep going through this any longer. I know Becker has a good reputation and I know lots of people who have used it and passed. On that same note I do know a few people who have used CPAExcel and have had success…but we all learn differently.

@ Getting a CPA – i hope it is all you need too. There is nothing like using study material that does not work for you.

@Robyn — I need to update my sig. I took FAR in Q4 2012 and in Q1 2013. I've been unsuccesful on both attempts. I just started with CPAexcel for my next attempt.

@zooyuka – if you don't mind me asking what were you using before when you took it twice. How do you like CPAexcel so far. For some reason I just feel like it not working for me. There is just something about the way it is organized or something. It could just be that there is a magnitude of information and that is why I feel frustrated.

I was using Yaeger and Exammatrix to supplement. I like it so far. I definitely like the “bite size” lessons. This exam has been a struggle for me. I have trouble digesting the information. I'm hoping this approach will help. I've mainly focused on the videos and the questions.

Bite-sized videos are really helpful for an ADD person like myself. CPAExcel has worked for me so far, but I have yet to take a part 🙂

I bought all 4 parts (3 for 4 price) so I have to stick with it. AUD is changing in July and their software updates automatically, and never expires. Very useful I think. The AUD book will be out of date but I don't plan on reading the books much after this, as CPAExcel lectures just reiterate what is in the book.

    Good luck!

Personally I wouldn't recommend CPA Excel, it is high expensive compared to Wiley and doesn't teach in the deepest way as it should be. In my first section, I had problems that I didn't understand; I read Wiley and all was clearer.

The schedules are really unrealistic, giving short time to give problem's solutions that you will understand directly with Wiley. Wiley is really a lot to study but now you have done it so try to just go deeper with Wiley.

I don't think you need more, just focus and review.

I have CPA Excel and I regret to have it, because is not so great as I expected.

I decided to take Wiley as my base and complement with Exammatrix, and in short Wiley test bank.

    Hope it helps.

I have used CPAExcel on the 3 parts that I have taken so far and passed. I used Wiley questions as a supplement because I tend to just memorize answers after a while. I don't think any material is “better” than any other material. You just need to find one that works for your style. If you need explanations on every little thing, then CPAExcel is probably not for you. If you have a decent grasp on topics, then it might do the trick.

How much is the Wiley test bank?

I think the cheapest is on this site.

    R - 74;88
    A - 84
    B - 74;89
    F - no study = 67; May 15 = 87 & done
