Dear All,

I need your advice .. I’m studying FAR using 2014 material , I’m trying my best to sit for exam comming window..

but in case I postpone to 2015 jan-feb window..Is there any problem to do so?

Will be big differences between 2014 material vs 2015 for FAR?

If you would continue to study until January or February of 2015, I think that would be way too much time. You would forget everything and just have to restudy it…

I am facing the same dilemma I am staring to study FAR as of this week and don't know if I can make the November time frame. Does anyone have any suggestions on required study time for a newly hired accountant learning new systems and going into her first closing with a company = hectic. I tried studying after work just seems to a recipe for sleep, I think I will try going to bed early and waking up two hours early in the morning.

if you work full time like many of us, ur limited to either

1) study after work till u goto bed and in between commutes if u take mass transportation, or

2) wake up early and study before going to work.

I think i can safely say, most of us choose option 1.

I can't even imagine getting up at 5 in the morning everday and trying to focus on this material all dazzed..

If you're asking if you can use the 2014 material to study for an exam in early 2015, the answer is yes. The material will likely not change substanitally. Items that are now available to be tested will be added into the current information so if any new pronouncements are available to be test be sure you know those. I don't think there are any major ones at this point. If you have a review program such as Becker, NInja, etc, they genreally update their informaiton online as soon as they can. I just studying for FAR with Becker bought in July of this year and the online content has already updated once. I'm hoping for the end of November for the test but it will likely be early January since I have a PT job a couple of weekends a month in addition to my FT job so that will likely delay me a bit. Plus there's the holidays!

Hey Guys, I have wiley 2013 book for FAR and planning to sit in feb 2015. Do I need to buy new study material or is it ok to use 2013 material for 2015 FAR exam.

When does Prometric have open seats for Jan/Feb tests? I noticed a couple of weeks ago there were no seats available for the whole month of Jan, so I was going to hold off on getting my next NTS thinking that it just wasn't available yet?

You should be able to see the open seats today. I just enrolled for my first exam FAR for February 27th. I have not bought the exam review materials yet so … Wish me luck! 🙂
