I literally have no idea what I’m doing. It takes me minutes to solve the calculation questions and I get them wrong each time.

How calculation heavy is the exam? A fellow associate at my firm told me he took it recently and it was mostly theory (which I like and am much better at).

I feel so hopeless and depressed 🙁

I bombed F2 my first time through as well. As best as you can, try to understand why you're getting something wrong (and right for that matter), and keep moving on. It's easy to get discouraged with FAR, especially F2 but you gotta keep moving on. My advice is to keep reviewing old chapters (flashcards, notes, progress tests) as you continue on so you keep as much “fresh” as possible. It'll help big time when you review before the exam.

@DavidB1990 I did the EXACT same thing the first time through on F2 with Becker. Believe I just completely skipped it until I got through all the other chapters. Don't get discouraged. I found that some of those topics started to come back to me as I went through the other sections. Good luck.

F2 was a beast for me as well. It is one of the most question intensive sections and the most scattered on concepts. I'm on F4 now and it seems to be following more of a linear progression versus F2.

I know it is tough, around this time I was like: “What am I doing here?”

Thanks for the advice everyone, it's just I feel so stupid because I don't understand what I'm reading even though I'm really trying, honest to god.

I get so frustrated when it takes me 4 minutes to do a calculation question only to get it wrong anyways. If that's how it's going to be for me during the exam, I might as well give up (I'm not but thats how I really feel sometimes)

@Nam: The job is going really well, I like the firm and the team. It's one of the large, national mid size CPA firms.I'm getting a lot of exposure very early on which is great imo.

In terms of the exam, I find out about my AUD retake next Friday and well, with FAR I'm struggling as you see what I wrote in this post.
