Has anyone tried this before and what are their thoughts? I wana utilize each hour before the exam. I am not sure if my brain is going to retain all the knowledge. SIGH :-/

I normally study pretty steady up until the night before. Then I stop at least an hour before going to bed. I take Tylenol PM and relax for a bit before going to sleep. I try to make SURE I get a good night of sleep. I do some light review on the morning of the test. I try to make sure I have a peaceful relaxing morning. Then I leave for the testing sight about 2 hours before the exam even though it is only about 45 min away. I like to eat something nearby and have some time to be alone and calm my nerves before going inside.

My philosophy is that the last few hours are for preparing to be in the best frame of mind and body possible. If I study up to the very last minute, then I am anxious and get panicky. I like to begin the test with an attitude that I will do my best and if I pass that's great, but if I fail, then I will need to try it again.

But every person is different, so you will need to decide what is best for you.

    Best wishes!

Like the previous poster said, “everyone's different and you have to see what works for you.”

Personally, I like to study until the last minute, but I make sure to get at least 7-8hrs of sleep. I get to the testing center atleast 1.5-2hrs early. I sit in the car with my laptop and do few MCQs, read notecards and scan over the area in the book that I'm struggling on. Then I make my way inside the testing center at least 15-20mins and usually end up taking the test on time or before my schedule time.

I'll take a small (5-7mins) break between MCQs and SIMs. I'll eat quick snack and drink water/juice that I have in the locker room!

Basically, do whatever that calms your nerves.

Good Luck!! I'll pray that you pass!:)

I do. The exams that I passed I stayed up late studying, treating the exam like finals at college. Yeah, yeah, I've heard that it's not going to matter cramming. If you don't know it now, you won't get it in these few hours blah, blah.

    But that's just IMHO

I don't study much the day before. I review some of my flash cards the day before and that's it. I think my brain needs a break so it can tackle the exam. But, you've gotta do what's best for you!

    FAR - 82
    BEC - 77
    AUD - 79
    REG - 81

    Done 🙂

As the others have written, you have to figure out and do what's best for you. That being said, I do recall being exhausted during one of the exams and having a difficult time staying alert and focused. I felt my eyes closing and had to get myself to concentrate on the questions. Therefore, I would not suggest staying up very late, since that can very well cause one to be quite fatigued during the exam and possibly do quite poorly. But, there are people who have had very positive experiences on the exams after staying up late, so it's really up to what amount of sleep your body needs in order to be alert and able to concentrate.

I don't think it's worth it to study if the brain isn't taking in the information and/or it will cause one to not do well on the actual exam. In general, when I study late at night, at the point that I feel that I am just not absorbing the material, I usually call it a night.

My general rule for late night studying is each hour of sleep converts to 2 hours of quality awake time. It's probably BS. I think I slept 5-7 hours before the last 2 parts. But I would rather not risk being tired during the exam. The problem for me is that at a certain point my studying pace slows down and at that point it's better to go to sleep and figure out when you should wake up.

Aww thank you guys ! thanks for support1 I love this website , it keeps me motivated .

So finally I ended up sleeping around 11 pm and woke up around 4.00 am , I tried to relax myself , revised some bullet points! But regardless of month's effort , I am not sure if I was fully prepared for AUD SIMS!! Oh lord they can be so tricky ..:(

With this AUDIT CPA exams even if you make perfect passing plan, with proper passing strategy , assess your risk factors, do enough test of control & Substantive testing .. you still cannot be really absolutely prepared (Only reasonable preprared)

I hope my result is unqualified . Oh lord this audit is getting into my blood.
