Hello all, just wanted to post so I can hopefully get some advice/tips/encouragement.
I just sent in my paperwork to test again. This will be my second go around at the CPA. I originally started studying in Summer 2011. I took AUD then FAR, didn’t pass either. Got really discouraged and haven’t taken a part in a year.
I’m motivated again and hopefully I don’t repeat some of my studying mistakes I made before. I used Becker last time, and while it was ok I really felt like I didn’t get much out of the underlining, highlighting or video lectures. This time I’m going to focus on MCQ and note taking. I’m planning to use the Wiley Test Bank with Wiley Text. I noticed the testbank was much cheaper on another71.com at $199 –
Do I still get access to everything I get if I bought it for $299 on wiley’s website?
My main problem in studying is that I’m a slow worker. I had trouble getting through all the study material in the past, especially on FAR. I know I didn’t pass the first 2 exams because I didn’t cover the material as thoroughly as I should have. I just worked too slowly and didn’t get through it all even though I put in the recommended amount of hours for each section. I made good grades in college but I was always that guy who turned in his test last. Any tips on being efficient or how to study effectively with the test bank would be appreciated. I’m planning on taking FAR first.
Thanks!
FAR - F (2011), 5/16
