does anyone else feel that the spreadsheet program on the FAR section is flawed and extremely hard to navigate?

I entered two simple formulas and it worked – then the third formulas completely calculated wrong.

I feel like i wasted 10-15 minutes just messing around with the spreadsheet -then i just stopped and used the calculator and scrap paper

I agree … I tried using the PV formula during the exam, but it showed the wrong result. Thankfully I had around 1 hour 45 minutes left for the sims, so I could afford to use the calculator and note down different PVF figures by hand. But it still was a waste of 10 mins

    BEC - 88
    REG - 72, 78
    FAR - 75
    AUD - 64, 64, 3rd attempt!!!

its useless, after first trying it out, never touched it again

    FAR - Aug 2013 Passed
    REG - DEC 2013 Passed
    BEC - FEB 2014 Passed
    AUD - MAY 2014 Passed

BSEE = who needs accounting degree to pass CPA exams?

I agree that it's hard to navigate once you're familiar with programs like Excel. But from my personal experience, I would strongly recommend that you should spend some time to practice with it. I feel like it's extremely helpful for sims that require schedule preparation such as bond, notes, depreciation… I would rather spend some time when I study than struggle with it on the test day. Believe me, once you're familiar with it, it's so much faster than your calculator and scrap paper.

    FAR: 80 02/01/2014
    AUD: 53,80 12/09/2014
    BEC: TBD
    REG: TBD
