Some of Becker's multiple choice questions

Does anyone else lose a ton of focus and motivation when doing some of Becker’s questions that are ridiculously long? A few it feels like it takes a full minute just to read everything, without analyzing it or doing any calculations, or even longer sometimes and it’s just a real pain.

Wondering if there are others out there who hates when these questions come up

    AUD - 08/04/14 - 83
    FAR - 11/29/14 - 80
    REG - 02/26/15 - 89
    BEC - 05/30/15 - 86

    DONE!

Yes I hate them and it gets me depressed to see that I get them wrong. I'm trying to time myself too which is being super hard because I always end up spending more time than they suggested ugh.. I also lose focus and have to reread most of of the questions all the time..

Yes. They are freaking awful. But, I think it is worth it in the long run and I think Becker's reputation is legit.

Now what the hell do I do?

Knock on wood, (I say this because I have FAR in 2 weeks), I have never seen a ridiculously long question on any CPA Exam I have taken. I've taken 4 (passed 3 and failed FAR). Maybe I just got lucky.

Anyone else get really long questions? The longest I got was maybe 3 or 4 sentences but it wasn't packed with tons of information. You either knew the calculation or you didn't.

Rocky123, I haven't seen any either. When I'm doing the Becker MCQ, I try to do the long ones, but if I'm tired/not scoring well/losing patience, I skip over the long ones and do them the second time around. That usually gives me the time to figure out the concepts with the shorter ones and I don't get as aggravated when I get put all the time into them, like you said thelonewolf527. They definitely help to drive some concepts home, but I try to keep in mind that there's no way a question could be like that on the actual exam.

    BEC 7/3/14 - 79
FAR 8/30/14 - 64, 85 (used Becker and Ninja MCQ)
    AUD 10/3/14 - 82
    REG 11/25/14 - 85

Yup, some questions I still do not fully understand after reading the answer. I just move on.
